This paper presents a novel solution based on the group search optimizer (GSO) methodology in order to determine the feasible optimal solution of the economic dispatch (ED) problem considering valve loading effects. The basic disadvantage of the original GSO algorithm is the fact that it gives a near-optimal solution rather than an optimal one in a limited runtime period. In this paper, a new modified group search optimizer (MGSO) is presented for improving the scrounger and ranger operators of GSO. The proposed MGSO is applied on different test systems and compared with most of the recent methodologies. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed method and prove that MGSO can be applicable for solving the power system economic load dispatch problem, especially in large scale power systems.  相似文献

In this communication, the kinetic parameters of methane hydrate formation (induction time, quantity and rate of gas uptake, storage capacity (SC), and apparent rate constant) in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), synthetized silver nanoparticles (SNPs), and mixture of SDS?+?SNPs have been studied. Experimental measurements were performed at temperature of 273.65?K and initial pressure of 7?MPa in a 460?cm3 stirred batch reactor. Our results show that adding SDS, SNPs and their mixture increases the quantity of gas uptake, water to hydrate conversion, and SC of methane hydrate formation, noticeably. Using 300?ppm SDS increases the SC and the quantity of methane uptake 615, and 770%, respectively, compared with pure water. Investigating the hydrate growth rate at the start of hydrate formation process shows that, using SNPs, SDS, and their mixture increases the initial apparent rate constant of hydrate rate, considerably. Our results show that the system of methane?+?water?+?SDS 500?ppm?+?SNPs 45?µM represents the maximum value of initial apparent rate constant, compared with other tested systems.  相似文献

The antimicrobial effects of ascorbic acid alone and in combination with lactic acid, against Escherichia coli O157:H7 in Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) broth and in carrot juice as a food model was investigated. In control samples, E. coli O157:H7 continued to growth from 3.98 ± 0.2 log CFU and reached to 8.88 ± 0.1 log10 CFU after 8 h at 37° C; however, bacterial population was undetectable level in BHI in the presence of 0.4% ascorbic acid and 0.2% lactic acid. In carrot juice, E. coli O157:H7 continue to grow from initial population count of 4.41 ± 0.9 log10 CFU to 8.75 ± 0.07 log10 CFU at 37 °C for 24 h. Similarly, the bacteria population was undetectable when 0.2 or 0.4% ascorbic acid and 0.2% lactic acid applied. Our findings suggest the application of ascorbic acid, in combination with lactic acid, may have potential as preservative to inhibit the growth of E. coli O157:H7 in food.  相似文献

Polymer/clay nanocomposites have some unique properties due to combination of flame resistance and improved mechanical and thermal stability properties which are important to enhance the material quality and performance. The objective of this work was to investigate the effect of organically modified montmorillonite (org‐MMT) on the thermal and flame retardant as well as hardness and mechanical properties of the nanocomposites based on the natural rubber (NR). It was shown that by the addition of 3 wt % of org‐MMT to NR, its aging hardness rise was decreased more than 55% and the ignition time was delayed about 150%. The reduction in heat release rate peak value was equal to 54% compared to the pristine NR. Addition of org‐MMT improved the thermal stability of the NR. Furthermore, nanocomposites which were calendared before curing showed much more thermal stability and fire resistance than those which contained similar amount of organoclay. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Tool path accuracy enhancement through geometrical error compensation   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Kinematic and geometric errors of CNC machine tools, introduce large deviations in the real path traveled by the cutting tool. Tool path deviation reduces geometrical and dimensional accuracy of the machined features of the component. Tool path modification is an effective strategy to increase accuracy of the machined features. An improved error estimation model based on kinematic transformation concepts has been developed and used to calculate the volumetric overall error. These calculations are applicable for each arbitrary target positions of the machine's work space. Also a NC Program editor software has been developed in order to manage the calculations, modifications and to generate the new compensated NC program. The compensation procedure includes: fragmentation of nominal tool path to small linear elements, translating nominal position of elements to real positions using the Kinematics error model, finding compensated positions using the error compensation algorithm, converting newly generated elements to new tool paths using the packing algorithms and finally editing old NC program using NC code generator algorithm. Experimental tests showed 4-8 times accuracy improvement for linear, and S-pline tool paths deviations.  相似文献

In this research, nickel oxide (NiO) transparent semiconducting films are prepared by spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrates. The effect of Ni concentration in initial solution and substrate temperature on the structural, electrical, thermoelectrical, optical and photoconductivity properties of NiO thin films are studied. The results of investigations show that optimum Ni concentration and suitable substrate temperature for preparation of basic undoped NiO thin films with p-type conductivity and high optical transparency is 0.1 M and 450 °C, respectively. Then, by using these optimized deposition parameters, nickel-lithium oxide ((Li:Ni)Ox) alloy films are prepared. The XRD structural analysis indicate the formation of the cubic structure of NiO and (Li:Ni)Ox alloy films. Also, in high Li doping levels, Ni2O3 and NiCl2 phases are observed. The electrical measurements show that the resistance of the films decreases with increasing Li level up to 50 at%. For these films, the optical band gap and carrier concentration are obtained to be 3.6 eV and 1015-1018 cm−3, respectively.  相似文献
